Web Designer Got “Writer’s” Block? Reboot!

Every creative person has been there, whether you are a web designer or a writer or an artist. We all get our version of writer’s block on occasion. What you need to do is give your creative brain a reboot. The good news is, it takes only 15 minutes!

Get a routine and stick to it

We are busy and constantly flooded with new information. Getting into a routine and being disciplined means that your brain becomes programmed to work a certain way at a certain time. Of course, you don’t have to work 9 to 5. The important thing is to find the habits that work for you and use them to your advantage every day.

Chase that dream

It is very difficult to be creative if you are bored or stressed. If you are a creative your job needs to be your passion. If this is not the case – change it, NOW!

Be prolific

Don’t stress and worry about every line and colour. Throw yourself into it and let your creativity take free rein. You will find solutions that would not have occurred to you if you spent hours or days worrying about the details.

Consume relevance

Watch television, listen to the radio, visit art galleries. Each second of exposure can spark that all important mind-blowing moment of inspiration.

Take a break

A purposeful walk or a nap gives your brain time to ponder and process. Creativity does not always need to be thought about. Allow your unconscious to take control by changing the scenery.

Challenge your brain

Both physical and mental exercise are a great way to refresh your mind and trigger the growth of neurons.
