The shapes and typography that you use on your website design says a lot about you. The wrong shapes will send people away and bad typography make your website impossible to read and follow. Keeping up with the trends or using something different and strange can make you stand out from the crowd. So, what is trending in website design right now?

You can draw the eye of the user to a particular space on your page with some strange shapes and the colours of those shapes. Combined with gradient colours and layering this is a powerful way to guide the user’s eye to where the important information is.

Why stick to the typical rectangle layout. Stand out and get really artistic with some offsets and overlapping rectangles. Combine this technique with some parallax and really get your visitors attention and stand out from the crowd.

Who says text has to be boring black and white? Cut out text with an eye catching image background is all the rage and a great backdrop to your more interesting headlines.
